What Time Should I Plan To Arrive?

Doors will open at 2:15 PM, and we urge everyone to arrive at this time to get settled in as the ceremony will promptly begin at 3PM.

If you happen to arrive in town much earlier to beat the traffic, feel free to explore District 1881 in downtown Chilliwack (20 mins away from the venue) — it’s a charming spot to stroll around. There’s also Little Beetle in Sardis to grab lunch, or enjoy a sweet treat from Banter Ice Cream or Kent’s (15 mins away).

What Should I Wear?

Dressy casual or semi-formal is perfect! In case it gets hot, we recommend a light or breezy outfit.

This is an outdoors wedding, so please wear formal footwear that is comfortable on grass!

What’s on the Menu?

Dinner will be served buffet-style with options for a variety of dietary preferences. If you have any allergies or restrictions, please make sure you let us know in your RSVP form. You can check your RSVP details here.

Will There Be a Bar?

We’ll be having a toonie bar* at the reception! Bring some change or small bills. We’ll have a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available.

*For our American guests: a toonie is a Canadian $2 coin.

Is Smoking Allowed?

Sorry, but no. This will be a smoke-free and cannabis-free event.

If you can’t resist, we kindly ask that you step off the property grounds and smoke outside the venue gate. Thank you for respecting the space!

Coming From Out of Town?

We’re so excited to welcome you! A few things to note:

Travel Time: From Vancouver, it’s about a 1.5–2 hour drive eastbound to the venue (please plan accordingly for heavy traffic!!).

And for guests coming from the interior, I believe you know the route by heart!

Accommodations: There are several hotels and Airbnb options in Chilliwack and Abbotsford. We recommend booking early due to summer demand.

Transportation: Travelling by car is highly recommended for convenience! Otherwise, getting an Uber would be fine (though costly from Vancouver unless carpooling). Make sure to schedule an Uber back because they don’t always go out this far late in the night here.

Travel Tips: Heads up! Highway 1 eastbound from Langley onwards can get very congested during rush hours, especially on a weekend. Consider leaving early to give yourself extra time to get to the venue. 

If you’re heading back towards Vancouver later in the evening, be aware that overnight construction with lane closures starts at 8PM and can cause delays on the westbound route.
